How it Works

How the GDPSC Works?

The Global Diplomatic Parliament for a Sustainable Civilization (GDPSC) operates as a pioneering platform for a new global sustainable governance, emphasizing collaboration, inclusivity, and shared responsibility. Its structure is designed to ensure comprehensive representation, effective decision-making, and the incorporation of diverse perspectives from around the world.

Structure and Governance

The GDPSC employs a circular seating arrangement for its parliamentary body, symbolizing equality and inclusivity. This design fosters open dialogue and ensures that every voice is heard during discussions. Additionally, the GDPSC adopts a flat organizational structure, minimizing hierarchy and empowering all members to participate actively in projects and initiatives.

Parliamentary Body

The Parliamentary Body is composed of 300 members representing nations, regions, demographics, and disciplines. Members are selected based on their expertise, commitment to sustainability, and ability to represent diverse perspectives.

  • Committees:
The Parliament establishes committees focused on key sustainability themes, such as climate action, economic resilience, social justice, and environmental sustainability.

Leadership and Executive Body

The GDPSC is led by a team of dedicated leaders, including:

  • President: The primary leader responsible for representing the GDPSC globally and overseeing its operations. The President may also serve as the Head of Parliament.
  • Vice President: Assists the President and assumes their duties in their absence.
  • Chief Diplomats: A team of 20 Chief Diplomats leads regional and thematic initiatives, ensuring the successful implementation of projects.

Branches of Governance

The GDPSC employs several branches to ensure effective policy development and implementation:

  • Legislative Branch: Proposes, debates, and enacts policies related to sustainability, justice, and equity.
  • Advisory Branch: Composed of experts who provide guidance on policy proposals and initiatives.
  • Executive Branch: Facilitates the implementation of policies and programs, working closely with partners and organizations.

Decision-Making Process

The GDPSC employs a transparent and collaborative decision-making process:

  1. Proposal Submission: Members can submit proposals on sustainability, social justice, economic resilience, or diplomacy-related themes.
  2. Open Debate and Discussion: Proposals are shared on the GDPSC platform for feedback and discussion.
  3. Expert Review: The Advisory Branch reviews proposals and provides evidence-based recommendations.
  4. Voting and Approval: If consensus cannot be reached, proposals are put to a vote. A simple majority is required for approval.
  5. Implementation: Approved proposals are implemented by the Executive Body, with support from the Diplomatic Corps.

Initiatives and Projects

The GDPSC is committed to launching initiatives that address pressing global challenges, including:

  • Climate Action: Reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting renewable energy.
  • Economic Resilience: Supporting green entrepreneurship and job creation in green industries.
  • Social Justice: Advocating for equitable access to resources and opportunities.
  • Environmental Sustainability: Protecting biodiversity and promoting sustainable water management.

Once projects are underway, the GDPSC establishes metrics for monitoring progress and evaluating outcomes. This involves regularly assessing the effectiveness of initiatives, making adjustments as needed, and publishing reports to ensure transparency and accountability.
